Sheraton Samoa Aggie Grey’s Hotel & Bungalows offers its valued visit ors hospitality that is unsurpassed in the South Pacific. Legendary for a relaxed and welcom-ing environment, at the hotel guests find gracious service, full amenities and straight from the heart smiles. The hotel was founded in Apia in 1933 by Aggie Grey, and became a renowned club in the South Pacific for American servicemen stationed in Samoa during WWII. Over the years the hotel has hosted many famous people and has steadily evolved to acknowledge the ever changing needs of travellers.
Sadly damaged by Cyclone Evan in December 2012, the hotel has had to be rebuilt in its entirety. However, out of the ashes has come an exciting new stage of life for the hotel, with the Sheraton Group having secured management rights of the hotel for the next 10 years. A collaboration between the two groups, Sheraton Samoa Aggie Grey’s Hotel & Bungalows is in the process of being comprehensively redesigned and rebuilt with increased rooms and impro-ved facilities, all the while retaining the ethos of the original hotel and its rich history.
The new and improved hotel will be re-launched early 2016 managed by Starwood Hotels and Resorts falling under the Sheraton Group of Hotels and Resorts with a four and a half star rating, making it the premier hotel of its kind within Samoa. It will have 200 rooms and the largest Con-ference and Meeting Facilities available at a cost of $25m USD.
