Virgin Samoa, formerly Polynesian Blue, is a Virgin Australia Holdings Airline that flies between Samoa, Australia and New Zealand. The Airline is 51 percent owned by the Government of Samoa with the Grey Investment Group, and 49 percent owned by ASX listed Virgin Australia Holdings.
It’s history saw Polynesian Blue take over the long haul flights (those involving Australia and New Zealand) which were operated by Polynesian Airlines and in 2011, it was announced that Polynesian Blue would change its name to Virgin Samoa. Most of the flights between New Zealand and Samoa on Virgin Samoa are direct flights which means passengers get to their destination faster and easier.
Virgin Samoa aircraft does not compromise on quality, with a sleek interior to match the new look branding on the outside. Onboard Virgin Samoa there are comfortable luxury leather seats, choice from the gourmet menu designed by Luke Mangan and access to great entertainment options via passengers personal screens.
The airline combines the quality service of the Virgin airline brand with friendly Samoan culture and hospitality.
